• Carries out all hot work tasks to repair and recondition of CCU (Cargo Carrying Unit) and associated equipment at Shore Base facility.
• Actively pursues knowledge of and experience with new equipment and learn new technology in order to develop skills and competency of workmanship.
• Carries out and records all repair/recondition works and reports any abnormalities, taking immediate action when necessary.
• Keeps consistent and up-to-date records for all work activities, including welding procedures and repair histories.
• Exercise BBS & SWA as required.
• Be a member of Spill Response and Fire Response Teams.
• Conduct additional general maintenance service activities, in addition to his normal duties as instruct by Supervisor.
• Engages in troubleshooting activities when necessary and takes actions, using his own initiative or following specific directions from his supervisor.
• Organizes, prioritizes and schedules overall work activities required to meet customers need.
• Contributes ideas to improve overall operational efficiency and safety at Shore Base including the raising of BBS card, HazOb card, Planned Inspection and BBS Observation.
• Understands fully and implements the company’s OEMS policies and procedures, ensuring that all subordinate and co-workers strictly observe and comply with all company safety regulations.
• Sets a personal example in safety, workmanship, punctuality, good housekeeping and positive work ethic for all subordinates.
• Carries out tasks as may be assigned by his supervisor relevant to his areas of training and job experience and related to the company’s operations.
Qualifications (Education, Work Experience, English and Computer Skills)
• Bachelor’s degree is preferred.
• Technical Diploma or equivalent.
• At least 3 years prior welding experience preferably with a company associated with fabrication shop.
• MS Program Word and Excel.
• English Language TOEIC 250
