Depressing evidence of unethical practice
In a Chartered Management Institute survey, about 30% of managers in SBs said they regularly drop ethical behaviour in order to pursue business advantage (cf. about 13% of more junior staff)
Another survey found that ˃ 90% architects always try to behave ethically and insist suppliers do likewise; cf. 31% in manufacturing and 25% in IT. How do Thais compare?
One sure thing, UK SMEs won’t be bribing the tax man, the VAT man or any other regulator! [For the avoidance of doubt ‘New Year presents’ for officials are bribes/are unethical.]
