The research affirms that C. korshinskii Komcan be used as a rawmaterial
in producing ecological solid fuel.
Particle size and moisture content are the two dominating factors.
The rank order of each factor is particle size, moisture content, temperature,
and pressure.
The smaller the particle size, the lower the moisture
content, and the higher the temperature, the better the quality of
briquettes.
Forming pressure is of marginal importance. For all the
materials studied, the appropriatemoisture content range for producing
good quality briquettes is from 5% to 14%, and the optimum is approximately
8%; the appropriate temperature and pressures ranges
are 90–150 °C and 50–110 MPa, respectively.
The rubbed material can
be compressed into good quality briquettes under suitable conditions.
