2.1.2. Treatments
T1 = control (without manure and fertilizer); T2 = organic manure (@15 tonnes ha−1); T3 = N40+40 + P40 + K40 kg ha−1; T4 = N40+40 + P40 + K40 + S15+15 kg ha−1.
Urea, diammonium phosphate, murate of potash, gypsum and vermiform compost were used as the source of nitrogen, phosphorus, potassium, sulphur and organic manure, respectively. Phosphorus and potassium fertilizers (40 kg ha−1 each) were applied at the time of transplantation, while nitrogen and sulphur fertilizers @80 kg ha−1 and @30 kg ha−1 were applied in two equal splits, one at the time of transplantation and 2nd at bolting stage, respectively. Organic manure (15 tonnes ha−1) was also applied at the time of transplantation. The experimental procedure was arranged in a completely randomized block design with three replicates of each treatment.
