Manchester Methodist Housing Group (MMHG) owns and manages the Heavy Drinkers’ Project in Manchester, which houses and supports people living with long term alcohol dependency.
The core house for the Heavy Drinkers’ Project is Docherty House, Rusholme, approximately two miles from the city centre. It has been providing supported accommodation for alcohol dependent men and women since 1990. MMHG acquired extra land from Manchester City Council to build a bigger and better base equipped to serve residents with disabilities and women.
