M. Shadows: I think we are so close with the fans through the music. I mean we try to do things that we think will excite them. We’ve always said we will make the music for ourselves first and we are not interested in what everyone thinks we should do. And I think all my favourite bands have done that. They do what they want to do and I think that’s what I love about them. But in terms of getting out there and do the shows, we always appreciate our fans. And you know we have always have different type of mentality because I grew up in…???..And now it is all about the fans, The punk rock bands and the hard core bands are all about the fans. That’s what we learn and that’s what try to achieve. And we have always kept those ethics.
In terms of the best fan experience I had, I would say it was in Montreal. The first show after the Rev passed away, the Nightmare (album) was about to come out or just came out. And all we saw was signs about Jimmy and signs that putting up and the place was packed. And we all knew that we will be alright. and that was a 100% because the fans has come out to show the love and support and sympathy. It was really nice.
