“We were just discussing how everyone seems to think we’re a couple.” Benedict said. Martin placed Richard’s glass of wine before him, and then sat down, before replying.
“I have better taste than that!”
“I know that.” Benedict grinned. For a moment, his eyes flicked to Richard. Martin caught it and scowled at him. It was only momentary, but Richard caught it.
What the hell was that?
“So you’re saying you’re not a couple? As in truly? Honestly?” Richard grinned.
“If I was interested in men, Martin would be my….twenty third option.”
Martin suddenly found his beer glass very interesting. Feeling brave, Richard took a deep breath and decided to tell the truth.
“I know what it’s like to have rumours and innuendo be spread about oneself. I-I’m bisexual.”
