The key elements included initiatives at all levels of the production
chain. At farm level, focus was directed towards development and
implementation of an industry code of practice for farmers to increase
attention to biosecurity measures and development of fly screens for
broiler houses, which have proven to be very effective in preventing
introduction of Campylobacter in the broiler houses under Danish conditions;
eliminating the peak in Campylobacter flock prevalence in summer
(Hald et al., 2007)
