Many consider Roger Bacon to the father of modern science. It was this man, back in the thirteenth century, two declared that the answers to many of the questions that had been puzzling scientists were not buried deep in writings of ancient Greek and Roman authors. He suggested that these answers would have to be sought out though study and experimentation with real things. With the adoption of Bacon’s truly scientific method, many new discoveries took place.
