3. However, a good living is relative. Just as you would expect your family to live within the means that you can provide for them, you should live within the means that your church or ministry can provide for you.
4. That doesn’t mean you have to settle for just barely getting by. It means that all the churches’ money shouldn’t be going to you.
5. Now obviously, as a church or ministry is getting started a major portion of their income may go to supporting you and your family. However, as that church grows and prospers, the percentage going to you should get smaller.
6. It is in your and the ministry’s best interest to pay you well. That helps to eliminate temptation. You should expect to be paid well and have a good benefit package including insurance, allowances and retirement.
7. Don’t be guilty of using your church to get rich.It will cost you in the long run.
F. IF IT DOESN’T BEAR FRUIT, CUT IT OFF
JOHN 15:2, “Every branch in Me that does not bear fruit He takes away…” Jesus said that if a branch didn’t bear fruit it was cut off.
