The crude from cell (0.45 g) was passed through a Sephadex LH20 column, eluted with 100% MeOH, to give 3 fractions. The first fraction (65.6 mg) was further purified by a preparative HPLC using a linear gradient system 10–70% aqueous CH3CN for 20 min to afford compounds 5 (7.5 mg) and 7 (1.7 mg), respectively. The second fraction (46.9 mg) was purified by a semi-preparative HPLC using a linear gradient system 10–50% aqueous CH3CN for 33 min to furnish compounds 12 (5.1 mg), 10 (2.5 mg), and 17 (1.7 mg), respectively. The third fraction (23.9 mg) was further purified by a semi-preparative HPLC using a linear gradient system 10–65% aqueous CH3CN for 20 min to yield compound 12 (1.2 mg).
