He will be raising money for three different charities close to his heart – Bluebell Wood Children’s Hospice, Headway Brain Injury Association and CRY Cardiac Risk in the Young.
The route for the event, which is sponsored by Wakefield-based electrical wholesaler YESSS Electrical, will take Richard through various locations in the north of England including Newark-on-Trent, Maltby and Retford, with a morning and evening circuit through Clarborough, Mattersey and Barnby Moor.
He said: “I’m so excited to be undertaking this 3,000km challenge, although it will be an extreme test of endurance.
“When I need a boost during the week, I’ll be turning my mind to the incredibly worthwhile charities that I’ve chosen to support during this adventure.”
