prime minister Prayut Chan-o-cha will start an official two-day visit to Philippines
today,says deputy government spokesman Werachon Sukondhapatipak.
The philippines will be the 8th country in Asean that the premier has visited since he took power in august last year. The visit is aimed at boosting bilateral ties between the two countries.
Foreign Minister don pramudwinai will accompany the premier on his first overseas trip since being promoted to the job on the recent reshuffle.
the two leaders have met at international gatherings, but this visit follows up on talks at the recent asia-pasific economic cooperation meeting in china
the primier will discuss various issues with the philippines president, benigno aquino including trade and investment,education,and air travel cooperation.
Gen prayut is also scheduled to lay flowers at the monument of the philippines national hero,jose rizal
