There are many heroes I my life right now, but my dad, more specifically, is the greatest hero in my life. He has always been there for me if I need some advice, it seems he knows you need some without you telling him. It's unbelievable how caring he is for other people. Ever since I can remember he has put other peoples ideas, thoughts, and what Feelings before his own.
My father is my hero because he takes care of me when I am sick, and when he gets hurt he doesn't sit down and cry or asked to be left alone he puts treatment on it and then goes back to what he was doing!
My hero is my father, Donnie. A few years back, I went to visit my father in Nevada, when he was living there. He had planned a white-water rafting trip on the Colorado river for us while I was there. The first day of the trip, everyone was getting their things together and put on the rafts. There was a little boy jumping from raft to raft at the edge of the river where the boats were tied down at. All of the sudden, the little boy slipped down between two of the boats and into the cold water without a life jacket on. The water was moving quite quickly, and no one was making an effort to save the boy. So, my father, with his life jacket in arms, jumped into the water without even thinking and saved the boys life. Had my father not done this, the boy would have drowned because of the rapids up ahead. The family of the boy was from a different country,I think Africa. Although they did not thank my dad, I can understand this. They probably in shock about the whole situation. I just thank God everyday that my dad is still alive. The odd thing is, my dad never talks about what happened that day and doesn't expect any credit for it. I guess he is just a humble person.
