4. User attitudes and behavioral intentions toward AR-QAS
For user behavior analysis, a questionnaire survey was conducted.
The questionnaire survey is a research method that
involves the use of a series of questions for gathering information
from people. The advantage of the questionnaire survey is the ability
to collect information from large samples of the target population
within a short period at relatively low cost, whereas the
disadvantage of the questionnaire survey is that researchers cannot
obtain certain information from respondents such as changes
in emotion or whether their responses are truthful. A random sampling
of national universities in Northern Taiwan produced 220
participants, comprising 91 men and 129 women who completed
a questionnaire. Before completing the questionnaire, a facilitator
instructed the participants on how to use the AR-QAS on their cell
phones. They independently used the system and subsequently
completed the questionnaire. The total time spent was approximately
30–40 min.
The current study combines the TAM and media richness theory
to explore behavioral intention toward the use of AR in information
navigation. Fig. 9 illustrates the model of this study. Structural
equation modeling (SEM) was used to verify the model and to analyze,
compare, and validate the collected data.
