Procedure
Using pipette and electronic balance to find density of solution
1. Prepare five of the dried beakers (50 ml) and weigh it.
2. Pipette**10.00 ml of water into each beaker.
3. Weigh the entire water filled beakers with electronic balance (4-digit balances).
4. Record the weight of each beaker and calculate the density of solution
(Density = mass of solution /volume)
5. Use the results obtained from the experiments to calculate the average, the standard deviation (SD), relative standard deviation (RSD) and relative error.
6. Compare the averaged results obtained from the experiment with the results obtained from all other groups.
7. Repeat experiment from 1-6 but measure the volume of water by 50 ml-burette** and 10-ml graduated cylinder.
8. Compare the experiment data obtained from using pipette with that obtained from using burette in statistical term such as the standard deviation, distribution of data, precision.
