Analysis of total fibers and fructans
The dietary fiber content was determined according to AOAC
(2004) by the enzymatic-gravimetric method (method 985.29-
45.4.08); the total fructans content was determined by the
enzymatic-colorimetric method (method 999.03). The sum of these
two fractions represented the total dietary fiber content present in
the samples.
