This project is to study the physical characteristics of the soil and the quantity of phosphorus in the soil, with a paper-based analytical device. The soil samples were collected from 30 random points, from all areas in the 2.4 acres of Bhumirak plantation, Princess Chulabhorn's College, Phetchaburi. The physical characteristics of the soil samples that were analyzed are: the flow of water in the soil, the pH levels, and the soil's moisture. The quantity of phosphorus in the soil was also analyzed, using a paper-based analytical device. The results showed that the flow of water in the soil was in the range 0.46-2.21 ml/min. The pH levels were in the range 4.87-6.73. The soil's moisture was in the range 1.47-3.71 %. The quantity of phosphorus in the soil was in the range 2.36-7.03 ppm. In conclusion, the data showed, the values obtained from the analysis of the physical characteristics of the soil, and the quantity of the phosphorus in the soil. These are lower than the standard, it is not suitable to the growth of the plant. Therefore, so find to guidelines for improvement the physical characteristics of the plants and the quantity of phosphorus in the soil should be good than standard.
