Amongst
these components D1 had the shortest half-life, in agreement with its
very fast turnover [20]. It was the first to disappear, followed by CP43,
D2 and CP47 with half-lifes of 19, 22 and −25 h, respectively. These results
are in agreement with a study in the cyanobacterium Synechocystis
sp. PCC 6803 [21,22] which showed that the CP47/D2 complex protects
D2 from degradation at least transiently and it is also consistent with
the faster degradation of CP43 observed in our study
