Exercise for the upcoming quoting quiz everyone!!
I apology to send you the quoting quiz mock a bit late than other sections. The attached files are the supplementary exercise and another one is the exercise key for you to practice and get ready for next week in-class quiz. There will be a paragraph about one issue. What you need to do is you need to read through the 3 pieces of passages below, then you have to pick ONLY ONE SENTENCE from each passage (a, b, and c) that can be used to support some ideas in the paragraph provided. Do the exercise without the answer key first, and after you finish doing it yourself, compare your answer from the answer key. This exercise will be similar to the exercise. Thus, please REVIEW this and everything in the book because we see one another this upcoming week. Good Luck !
Note!!!!!!!:
When you’re quoting, don’t forget:
1. Capitalized the first letter of the sentence that you pick from the passage.
2. Punctuation after the year of publication if you use
According to Smith (2012), “One possible way to deal with network addiction is to think about what the good things we can do” (p.10).
OR
Smith (2012) stated that “One possible way to deal with network addiction is to think about what the good things we can do” (p.10).
(Notice: there is no full stop (.) after the last word of the sentence, but it will be placed after page number only)
3. I suggest you to choose only ONE SENTENCE from each excerpt (as in the answer key).
