Modes of Entrepreneurship
The model to entrepreneurial success begins with the entrepreneur. (See Model of the Entrepreneur, Chapter 7.) It proceeds in one fashion or another, step by step to a conclusion and, contingent on success, continues in growth to a dominant position in the market. But while the model (Figure 8.8) is set out in linear architecture, in many cases the flow can be parallel. That is, the entrepreneur may pursue two or three elements at the same time. She or he may assemble resources, begin to develop strategic plans even as the market evaluations in estimating the scope of opportunity are in process.
