It is essential that the post holder shows a good understanding and sympathy with the Islamic Relief’ Worldwide values and principles, commitment to its vision and mission as well as International Red Cross and Red Crescent Movement.
Essential
University degree
At least 3-5 years of programme management experience in humanitarian and development settings. At least 2-3 years at senior or similar position within international/ National NGOs
Demonstrated experience working on community-based programme initiatives
Demonstrated experience in participatory methods and approaches such as PRA/RRA/PLA
Clear understanding of the development environment and the issues facing implementation of development projects
Experience in designing and developing development programmes and projects
Positive attitude and ability to work with colleagues with diverse backgrounds
Strong problem-solving, negotiation, communication and networking skills
Strong skills in impact assessment and sharing and learning
Ability and skills to write concise reports and high quality proposals in English
Fluency in English and a Mandarin language
Willingness and ability to travel in difficult environments
