Egypt and Greece opposed foreign military intervention in Syria, Egyptian President Muhammad Mursi said on 18 October.
Speaking at a joint press conference with his Greek counterpart Karolos Papoulias broadcast on state-run Nile News TV at 1900 gmt, Mursi said that Egypt and Greece agreed on the need to stop the bloodshed in Syria and called for "real change" in Syria.
Mursi also expressed his appreciation for Greece's stance towards the Palestinian cause and its support for the rights of the Palestinians.
Mursi added the Egyptian-Greek relations were based on historical ties and mutual cooperation.
He noted that both sides discussed ways to boost bilateral ties in various fields and promote mutual cooperation in the economic, commercial and investment spheres.
