I think some of it make sense like for example putting the couch so it doesn't have anyone backs facing the door or not having things scattered around in the loungeroom because this can make people feel scattered. I have found if my room has scattered things around the floor and I sometimes feel scattered , although when cleaning it up, I feel more happier and refreshed and things just seem to flow more better in doing work. Also putting furniture in a position where it's easy to get to and make everyone who visits feel comfortable. My sister used to have her lounge which had our backs to the door and it made me feel like I was closed off to the world, she then changed it and now it feels more open and much better. Although I think some of this is just common sense really
