Manchester United played an outstanding game of football against Everton this weekend, securing an impressive 3-0 victory at one of the toughest away grounds to go to. After the game Louis van Gaal was quizzed about whether he’d make many changes for the Champions League tie on Wednesday.
“Now they have played very well, so I am not stupid, I won’t change too much on Wednesday,” Louis van Gaal told the media.
And rightly so too. The team he played on Saturday did a fantastic job from minute one, and to change anything whatsoever would be rather silly from the manager. Every player put in a good enough performance to retain their place in the side – especially with a must win game away at Russia coming up.
The instrumental performers in the victory were Ander Herrera, Morgan Schneiderlin and Anthony Martial, and all should surely keep their place in Louis van Gaal’s starting XI.
