Flat foot is a musculoskeletal condition that refers to the greater decrease in medial arch of foot with the sole of the foot coming into complete or near-complete contact with the ground during weight bearing. The electromyographicactivity of tibialisposterior and tibialisanterior muscles in flat-foot are greater than normal foot during walking, which may contribute to increassedrisk for lower limb injury. Previous studies have found that anti-pronationtaping is used to increase medial arch of foot and decrease electromyographicactivity of tibialisposterior and tibialisanterior muscles in flat foot. The objective of this study is to determine the effect of anti-pronationtaping on medial arch of foot and electromyographicactivity of leg muscles in Thai healthy women aged 18-25 years with normal foot and flat-foot.
