2014 Confirmation - Code of Conduct: Project Charter
Author: SGI MP-BE Michael Redford
Date: 09 May, 2014
Version: 1
1) Overview
In 2013, the SGI Legal and SGI Corporate Training departments created an annual proc-ess whereby staff must electronically confirm that they have received, read, and under-stood the K+N Code of Conduct. This process is to be repeated in 2014.
The target audience for this project is all K+N staff members with a valid email address and access to a PC and K+N Network – labeled as “White Collars” in the PDM.
By project end (15 July, 2014), all White Collars (approximately 35,000 employees) will have completed this process. New hires are enrolled by SGI/BEL on an ongoing basis.
The target audience will receive a nomination email from SGI containing:
• Explanation of the requirement to:
o carefully read the K+N Code of Conduct
o act in compliance with K+N Code of Conduct
• Link to the KNet page with the Code of Conduct translated in all currently available languages
• Instructions to complete the confirmation process within 5 working days
• Personalized link - which opens the slide enabling electronic confirmation
When the staff member clicks their personalized link, this main confirmation slide ap-pears.
By clicking “I Confirm,” the staff member confirms that all required conditions are met, and that K+N can centrally store this confirmation. This confirmation is permanently stored and available for reporting via K+N’s Learning Management System (LMS).
Key Differences of the 2014 version:
A) Sending of RM/NM email to inform target audience is optional
The SGI Legal Department has confirmed that the 2013 RM Emails have sufficiently in-formed the target audience of this annual and required process. Therefore, the sending of the RM email is optional.
B) For the entire 2014 campaign, SGI/BEL completes all new hire nominations and re-nominations of non-completers
Regional efforts are requested only in special cases of low regional completion %, or with specific “long-term non-completers.”
