In response to these challenges, This research seeks to address this disconnect and find a solution by adapting the format and content of the texts in the material that children have to read to align with their experiences, incorporating local context specific to each province. It will be focused on Mathayom 1 students, aiming to bridge the gap between traditional English instruction and the cultural context of Thai children to enhance their reading skills and overall language acquisition by using the foundational elements within the literature that stand out as crucial to this research include: Thai educational policy, schema theory, narratology, postcolonialism, context localization. These key components not only inform the theoretical framework of this study but also provide invaluable insights into potential solutions.
