Kathmandu Four suspected Maoist rebels were gunned down by a police in a clash in the far western part of the Himalayan kingdom,police said yesterday.The incident took place at Daha Village in Kalikot district on Saturday,about 550 km west of kathmandu, a police spokesman said.The rebels,members of the Communist Party of Nepal (Maoist),are waging a violent campaign to topple the kingdom's constitutional monarchy established 10 year ago and more than 1,300 people have been killed since the insurgency started in 1996.Reuters
