As you have been previously informed effective September 1, 2007, payments for Bloomberg invoices should be directed to Bloomberg Finance L.P.
We have been advised that no withholding tax is applicable when you remit your payment to Bloomberg Finance L.P on payment in relation to Bloomberg Professional service. This is described on the invoice as Bloomberg Terminal. However, payment for rental use of equipment (e.g. flat panels and/or personal computers (PC’s)) is subject to withholding tax at the rate of 8% under article 12 (2) (b) of the united states of America and Thailand double taxation Agreement.
We kindly request that you obtain a withholding tax certificate from the Thai Revenue Department to evidence the remittance of withholding tax and forward this along with the copy of the tax receipt for the payment to us for our tax records.
There will also be Vat implications of the payments, which you should consider.
