After 72 h incubation
in the detergent, both Chlorophyll a and total carotenoids
significantly decreased at concentrations above 25 mg L1 while
chlorophyll b showed a significant decrease at concentrations
above 750 mg L1 (Table 1). With increasing concentrations of
the detergent, a decrease in the chlorophyll a/b ratio was observed
which was more pronounced after 72 h of exposure (Table 1).
