What is a Safety Case?
A safety case is a demonstration that the facility is as safe as can be reasonably expected and is subject to strict controls through accountable management systems.
It ensures that we
are using effective procedures
have the necessary barriers in place to manage risk and prevent a major accident event (MAE) or mitigate the consequence severity of such an event
manage our operations with integrity (i.e. doing what we say we’re doing).
It follows the IADC developed format and section headings and is accepted internationally by regulatory, flag and country authorities.
