including water, light, temperature, soil, and so on. The ecological
environment factors are the main factors that in fl uence the
genuineness of Chinese medicine plant (Yin et al., 2012). The
discovery that the endophytic fungus J1-2 can synthesize the
paeonol, which preliminarily proved that internal environment
also could indeed affect the genuineness of Traditional Chinese
Medicine. The discovery further supports the possibility of
horizontal gene transfer between P. suf fruticosa and its corre-sponding endophytic organism, the discovery more adequately
lends support to the theory that during the course of evolution, the
symbiotic endophytic fungi synthesize the high levels of secondary
metabolites in order to compete and survive in association with the
medicinal plants (Young et al., 1992). The next step of the research
will focus on gene that can regulate that host plant or endophytic
fungus produces paeonol, which will aim to study the inner
relationship between endophytic fungi and host plants and the
relationship between endophytic fungi and genuineness of
traditional Chinese Medicine
