Trader Vic’s is a restaurant designed around a Polynesian concept with rattan chairs, exotic masks and illuminated tiki carvings. This theme has a tenuous link to Bangkok at best, but we love how fully immersive the experience is – whether you come for an evening of imported steaks and cocktails, or for their famous Sunday brunch.
Located in the five-star Anantara Riverside Hotel, the restaurant is open from Tuesday to Sunday from 18:00 to 23:00 with the Mai Tai Bar serving on until 01:00. Their fabulous Sunday Brunch is served from 11:30 to 15:00. Although Trader Vic’s is on the far side of the Chao Phraya River, it is quite convenient to reach thanks to a charming rice barge shuttle that provides complimentary transport from the pier in front of Saphan Taksin BTS Station.
