Blood Pressure
Blood pressure can decrease(both systolic and diastolic pressure) at rest and during submaximal exercise by as much as 10mmHg in people with hypertension. However,at a maximal exercise intensity systolic blood pressure is decreased compared to pretraining (15,16)
It is interesting to note that althoung resistance exercises can raise systolic and diastolic blood pressure significanty during the activity , it too can lead to a long-term reduction in blood pressure (17)
