The interaction between the E glycoprotein of the viral particle and cell surface receptors allows the entry of the fla- viviruses into the target cells. However, despite many in vestigations, the key cellular receptors remain relatively unknown and their importance in viral entry have yet to be clearly established. Several of those receptors have already been reported to permit viral entry of DENV others ar- boviruses [53], and on iDCs and DC-SIGN which is highly expressed macrophages[54] has been known for many years to permit attachment and infection by Dengue virus[55,56] thereby facilitating viral dissemination.
