The implementation of the 1999 National Education Act,
has prompted a major re-think in the education sector in terms of both teaching and learning methods,
as well as in learning environments.
This process of transformation is focused on:
Identifying learning outcomes within and the 12 year basic education system;
improving provision and practices in Early Years Education
and the implementation of a vocational and technical training system.
