Based on the configuration of additional power plants,
electricity capacity mix, which is the share of a particular
type of electricity capacity in the overall planned capacity,
is then calculated (see Fig. 2). It is obvious from Fig. 2 that
gas-based power plants will account for 70.42% of the
capacity mix in 2025. However, the role of existing gas fired
power plants is decreasing significantly as at the end of the
planning horizon 48.69% of capacity mix will be from new
gas fired power plants. At the same time, the share of coal
fired power plants will increase from 12.07% in 2011 to
19.36% in 2025
