It is noteworthy that the index values in Table 4 for any particular fault position and fault type are less compared with the index values for the same fault position and fault type inTable 3. This fact demonstrates that the performance of the proposed combination of optimal reclosing and SVC is better than that of the combination of conventional reclosing and SVC.
Fig. 8 and Fig. 9 show the total kinetic energy responses for 3LG and 1LG faults at fault position F2. From the total kinetic energy responses it is clear that the combination of optimal reclosing and SVC as well as the combination of conventional reclosing and SVC makes the system stable. However, the performance of the proposed combination of optimal reclosing and SVC is better than that of the combination of conventional reclosing and SVC.
