AMLO secretary-general Pol Col Sihanart Prayoonrat said the assets seized from the former cooperative chairman Supachai Srisuppa-aksorn included shares in five private companies which he was holding worth more than 1.2 billion baht
He also said cheques worth a combined value of 714 million baht which he paid to Dhammakaya Temple on behalf of the company, it was the duty of the temple to return them to the company.
AMLO has nothing to deal with the return of the money, he said but added that latest finding showed that all the money had been paid to renovate the temple.
As the Buddhism law states that all temple assets are state assets, so what the temple had made they were already state assets.
