Based on the literature indentified for this study, we have exposed a gap in repatriation literature. According to our analysis, the HRD literature is deficient in explorations and explanations for how to manage individual, team, and organizational changes that occur during and as a result of repatriation. We were unable to find literature in other process, leading to organizational effectiveness. We surmise this gap in the literature is directly to the repatriation motivation and failure on repatriation failure. Ultimately, repatriation failure and lack of motivation to repatriate could be the symp-toms of a more fundamental problem: the lack of on OD strategy for repatriation.
