Soybean milk, rice bran and yeast were used to nurse Chirocephalus nankinensis. The results showed that the effects of these three feeds on the growth and reproduction of Chirocephalus nankinensis had significant differences. The body length increment and body weight gain were the highest in soybean treatment and the lowest in rice bran treatment.Survival rate of Chirocephalus nankinensis fed by rice bran ranked first, which was followed by soybean milk and the third was yeast. The experimental animal had the highest fecundity when fed by soybean milk compared with rice bran and yeast. In conclusion, soybean milk was a suitable food source for the growth and mass multiplication of this species in nursery tanks.
