The nuclear body is bounded by a nuclear membrane having pores connecting it with the endoplasmic reticulum (Fig. 3).
A nucleolus is present (Fig. 3).
The nuclear body is called a nucleus (Fig. 3).
It contains one or more paired, linear chromosomes composed of deoxyribonucleic acid (DNA) associated with histone proteins (Fig. 4).
