Please be advised that the Government of Canada has imposed reporting requirements on products containing petroleum and polymer substances in accordance with the Canadian Environmental Protection Act (CEPA 1999). In July 2015, two Notices under section 71 of CEPA 1999 with respect to certain priority petroleum and polymer substances on the Domestic Substance List were published in the Canada Gazette. Costco vendors will be expected to screen their products for reportable substances found in the Notices.
This is a request for information that the vendor currently has in their possession or information that is reasonably accessible and available. This is not a request for the vendor to determine the chemical components of their items to meet the survey requirements. You are not required to conduct tests to comply with the Notices.
