acetone:water (9:1, v/v) with 0.025% Tween 20. Each compound
was sprayed on four plants for each concentration
tested. Solvent only was used as the control. The plants
were held overnight (21 C, 25% r.h., 14:10 L:D), and the
number of survivors counted three days after treatment.
GPAs were tested in the same manner as CAs. However,
cabbage plants were used in place of squash plants and
only one concentration (0.05 lg/ll) was tested since only
6 produced any mortality at this treatment level. Aphids
were considered dead if no movement was detected by
observation after touch with a probe.
