2.4. Calibration of the acoustic maps
This calibration involves checking if the noise levels generated by the calculation model are consistent with noise levels measured in the field. This comparison is made by adding receivers to the model, at the points where measurements were taken. The larger the area, the more receivers should be placed in it. The maps were calibrated with the measures, and the difference between the measured and simulated [ Leq] should be lower than the 4.6 dB(A) recommended by the EU Working Group on the Assessment of Environmental Noise (WG-AEN) [31].
