to be competition for space and nutrients (Zhang et al., 2007).
When PA was used with R. mucilaginosa in fruits, it inhibited the
colony growth of the pathogens but not the growth of
R. mucilaginosa, so, R. mucilaginosa multiplied rapidly in wounds
and, perhaps, consumed available nutrients, which may facilitate
biocontrol by nutrient competition.
