i stayed for a night after my trip back from amphawa. the hotel was easy enough to locate from the station. the reception was very professional but not very warm. no free wifi in the room, only the lobby. i was upgraded for my room to a grand deluxe. no idea what that meant but it came with a living room sofa and another tv.
the room was big with a separate section for the bed from the living room. you could tell that the hotel has been around for a while. some of the finishings were worn, the bathroom's shaver power outlet didn't work and a partial coat of paint can be seen on the wall of the living room. but the bathroom was nice. it was big enough for 2 to share with their own basins. both shower and bath tub facilities were provided.
the hotel's value proposition was for guests to chill and relax. i did get a good night's rest on the king size mattress. it was a pity that i missed out on the spa facilities because it was fully booked for that day. tip: book early. pool facilities were kind of small on level 10 but the pool service was excellent and friendly.
location of the hotel was good. i walked to mbk for dinner and some shopping. easy access to the airport line which was 1 bts stop away at phra thai.
overall: a nice business hotel or for travellers who want to relax before catching the next plane.
