Wat Nangnong Maha Chakraphat is also in Bangkhunthian and dates back to the Ayutthaya period. Renovation work was going on while we visited the temple but luckily we were able to get the Ubosot opened which allowed us to pay our respect to the beautiful image of Phra Buddha Maha Chakraphat. We have to note here that we always pay respect to the Buddha first before we take pictures. At the time of our visit another team of photographers took advantage of the open doors but disappointingly they showed no respect for the Buddha image at all and even walked onto the area reserved for monks. Another item noteworthy in the Ubosot are the mural paintings, though some of them were in urgent need of being restored.
