I forgot my password/How do I reset my password?

You can reset your password by pressing the Forgot Password link in the sign in page. You’ll receive an email with instructions but if you don’t receive the email within 15 minutes, be sure to check your spam folder.

How do I connect Twitter, Tumblr, etc?

You can connect your social networks by going to your Profile Details and scrolling down to the social network section. Use the promote me button to let your friends know you’re on Meow!

What is that blue tick/check?

You get a blue check next to your name when you connect one of your social networks to your Meow account! :)

Is this safe?

We only show you in the closest city with at least a population of 100,000 people! For more explanation, please visit our Privacy Policy located at the bottom right of your map labeled “Privacy”.

How do I block someone?

You can block and report a user by pressing the button at the top right.

What do I do if a user is being inappropriate?

When users are being inappropriate or disrespectful, you can block and report them by pressing the button at the top right.

How do I find or invite my friends?

(iOS) - You can find your friends by going to your profile then your Settings and pressing Invite Friends

(Android) - You can invite your friends by opening your side menu and pressing Invite Friends

How do I add someone?

When you find someone you want to be friends with, you can go to their profile and Favorite (Fave) them.

How do I add photos?

You can add photos to your profile by using the camera in your profile.

How do I unfave someone?

You can unfave someone by going to their profile and pressing Unfavorite.

How do I delete a photo I uploaded?

You can delete a photo by going to it and pressing the […] button.

How do I turn on my Location Services? (iOS)

You can turn on Location Services on your iPhone, iPod or iPad by going to Settings > Privacy > and switching Location Services On.

Make sure to scroll down to Meow and set it to On as well :)

How do you chat?

You can chat with other users by going to their profile and pressing the message button or you can press the blue button in the middle for random chat!

How do I share photos with other users?

You can share photos with other users by faving them mutually :)

I forgot my username

If you forgot your username, please email [e-mail] with your request and we’ll find it for you!

Why was my profile status/photo been deleted?

Please refer to our Community Guidelines located in the Settings of your Profile under “About & FAQ’.

I accidentally reported a user..

Once a user has been reported, they cannot be unreported.

How do I disconnect my FB?

You can disconnect your Facebook account by going to your Profile Details and scrolling down to Facebook and pressing Disconnect. It may take a few minutes for it to disconnect.

How do I know if they read the message I sent them?

When a message is read, it will say “Read”.

How do I search for a user?

You can search for a user by using the Search in the Explore page.

How do I accept a friend request?

When a user adds you as a friend (Fave), you can find them in your contacts. You can Fave them back by going to their profile and pressing Favorite.

Is Meow only in English?

Meow is currently in English only but expect more languages in the future!

What is a Fave?

When you find someone you want to be friends with, you can go to their profile and Favorite (Fave) them.

Where can I find my Faves?

Your Faves are located in your Contacts :)

Who Faved me?

You can check your Faves in your Contacts!

Who liked my photos?

You can see who liked your photo by going to your photos :)

Why does it take so long to connect to random chat?

It takes a few seconds to match

How do I change my age?

You have three chances to correct your age and you can do so in your Profile Details. If after three, it is still wrong, you will need to create a new account.

I don’t know what to do, how do you use the app?

Swipe through the Map to discover new people or use the Random Chat to chat with somebody instantly :)

If you find anyone interesting, you can chat with them or Favorite them to add them to your contacts!

Does Meow have FB, IG, etc?

Yes, you can find us on: Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, and Tumblr

When you talk to random people are they the same age?

Random chat is random! You could be matched up with anyone from anywhere at any age!

How do you log out?

You can go offline by turning on Private Mode in your profile settings.

How do I deactivate my account?

Go to Settings and under Account, press Deactivate.
